06.08.1962	SALMET GmbH & Co. KG was established in Frankfurt a.M. Founder members: Salopian Metals Ltd., Shrewsbury, England Philipp Zimmerer, merchant, Frankfurt a. Main Horst Lackner, technical engineer, Ittlingen Purpose of the company: manufacturing of accessories for the cage systems produced and imported by Salopian Metals Ltd., Shrewsbury, England. The company's name emerged from name allocation of the British partner Salopian Metals Ltd.
end 1962	Horst Lackner starts business in his garage, producing the first components
19.12.1962	Purchase of 50 acres of farmland for construction of a production facility
06.09.1963	Start of construction of the first production facility
February 1964	Move into the new production facility with offices and meeting rooms with ten employees. In the following months, the number of employees steadily increases.
1965	Construction of the second production and assembly facility
1967/68	Construction of the galvanizing plant integrated into the existing facility
1969	Construction of the third facility for housing of the spot-welding shop
1970	Construction of the warehouse
05.10.1971	Proprietor of Salopian Metals Ltd. resigns. Expansion of factory, to increase production, is made possible.
1973	Construction of a new area to relocate welding shop
1977	First extension of factory warehouse
1979	Construction of the sheet metal production area with interim storage facility and access to warehouse
1993	The fall of the Berlin Wall made the acquisition of a new location in Berge (Germany) possible
2008	Construction of several prouction and storage facilities, as well as an office complex. Employees now numbering 200. Extension of factory ground to more than 2 hectares. Internationally renowned manufacturer of innovative equipment for the poultry industry. Eight agencies in Europe and abroad offer local service and global bonds.
